The Open Road

Last night was just another night for me. I woke up about 5 times to the wiggles and toots of a precious little Cohen, really ... it was glamorous! The gassy joys of having boys =) But for some reason this morning was different. Maybe it was because I stocked my fridge with Fresh and Easy last night or maybe it was just a delirious high from lack of sleep. In any case, I woke up with a revived energy that beckoned me to hit the open road this morning!
I went out to the garage to inspect the double jogging stroller of my parents, that I still have ... can I put a baby in here ...? I think I can! Tighten some straps, make some knots, and throw the boys in! It was cold so I filled up our thermoses, packed up a blanket, and we were off! Poor Bella was devastated she was left behind ... but two babies was enough =)
I went jogging! I was so stoked, excited, exhilarated, and a little proud of myself. I felt like if I could take two babies jogging, there is really not much I can't do! See Ry, I can totally handle 3 kids now (wink)! We started off walking, but there was a dog behind me which quickly motivated me to accelerate my pace ... I started running! And it felt so great.
Cohen was chill most of the time, and Peyton enjoyed the adventure. We saw a lizard and Peyton called it a "turd" LOL! I love the way he is trying new words, even when they come out WAY wrong. The sibling rivalry was entertaining, to say the least. As I was jogging my bum bum off I hear Peyton saying things like "mine baby mine" and stop to see that Cohen no longer has any blanket on, and Peyton is well snuggled. Or "biting baby biting" I check again to see that Peyton was crying wolf as he put his own fingers in Cohen's mouth and tried to claim Cohen was biting him. Later Cohen was tooting again and Peyton was pushing away saying "ewe baby ewe"! But at the end of the trip, Cohen was screaming (like Cohen does) and it abruptly stops. I abruptly stop thing Peyton must have smothered him with the blanket to hush him up. When I check Peyton is rubbing Cohen's head, snuggling him, and say "ssssshhhhh ssssshhhhhh ssssshhhh". So cute I could have cried ... seriously!
Our first jog was a success. My goal it to hit the open road at least 3 times a week! This goal will change when we start getting wet weather though =) I am a big baby about working out in bad weather!

Aww, I am glad you all had so much fun! How cute that Peyton was trying to get Cohen to stop crying. They are going to be best buds! Is that jogging stroller hard to push? It looks huge!

SO proud of you! I have that double stroller too but I don't know how you run with it. I keep it for bike use only...which I'm not quite up to yet. But we should bike together with our boys! we could meet in the middle.

It is actually really easy to run with and push. But it is WAY to big to like use in a store or something =)
Lorie definitely! Sounds like a blast!
