This and that and a little blah blah blah ...

I do not have any pictures to share today, just a couple of little tokens from my crazy little summer that is just slipping through my fingers faster than a hand full of sand!

My heart aches at the ever so quickly approaching 1st birthday of my baby ... just weeks away now. I have so much to do in preparation, but instead I am doing {as Talia so perfectly stated} weeping into onsies. I am not ready to leave the baby stage behind, not at all.

I am bewildered at the wit of a certain little 2 1/2 year old boy lately. I have been spending much of my days just laughing hysterically at the hilarious things he says. Just yesterday when Cohen was misbehaving I asked Ryan what we should do, and then Peyton piped in and said we should put Baby Coco outside and make him work! Ok maybe that is only funny to me, but you should have seen the way he said it!

Our little tomato garden is growing in leaps and bounds this summer, I thought I was just going to get a few little tomatoes, but there are tons! They are SO close to being ready to pluck off the vine and sink our teeth into {salivating here} yumo! We are quite the sight with our little garden, Peyton and I go out there and clean the tomatoes on the vine, water them a little extra, and sing a couple rounds of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to them. I think it just might make them taste better =)

I think I am finally {after a little over a year of being a stay at home mom} in a groove of how this whole thing works. I feel like we are finding a balance to activities, social events, church, ministry, and our own little family time. The only thing I have not mastered yet is the "me time" I do desperately want to find. Reading, blogging, crafting, and such have just not found a steady place in my little world yet. Most mommies tell me that staying up later is the best way to get that but I NEEEEEEEEED my sleep, without it I would have not friends and my family would not like me much =)

Peyton is working on night time potty training now and Cohen is trying to walk. Ryan is slaving away on a dreadful class he is all to excited to finish and I am just trying to enjoy every moment of this all. That's whats up with us right now, how is YOUR summer going?!

Ahh...sounds like you're enjoying every minute of your time with the kiddos! Love the blog's new look! Can't wait to come celebrate Little Boy Blue's first b-day! And I agree with Davi about the staying up...I try it and I am not a nice person. I really NEED to start going to bed earlier!
