Backyard Pitty Party ENDS!

I have been so sulky about our huge dirt lot infested with bugs and weeds (our backyard) that I have been avoiding outside summer fun lately. I know ... that is awful! Poor Peyton, he loves "out ide" more than anything. So I decided to start taking advantage of our little courtyard in the front! I ran to yucky smucky Wallmart and grabbed some outside fun essentials. We started it off with letting Peyton have his first Popsicle ever.
He enjoyed it all the way down to the last little bite! Then he wanted some of mine ... um I am not much of a sharer when it comes to goodies Peyton!
Then we played with this fabulous new toy ... it is a beach ball sprinkler thing ... so fun!And is summer really summer without bubbles and water guns? I didn't think so either!We satisfied our after play munchies with some freshly made cocoa crispies bars ... yummy goodness!

It was just imperative for us to get outside, enjoy the weather, survive the heat, enjoy the water, and play with some of the good old summer toys that made summer fun for me as a child. Even though I still want a backyard ... I guess I can enjoy all of those same festivities in my oh so beautiful front yard. I am sure my neighbors just love that =) It was truly a joyful day! I loved seeing how excited Peyton got and how much he enjoyed himself!
