Liquid Gold
I have been breast feeding for a month now, and things are going a little more smoothly. A dear friend and neighbor loaned me her fancy smanchey breast pump since I just had a little hand held one that took me F O R E V E R to use. I was so excited about it, hoping that using it in between feedings will help increase my milk supply! So I took my first shot at it today, I am a dork and was really excited about this. When I was done I only got 1 oz from one side and 2 oz from the other. I was a little disappointed, but still proud of those 3 pathetic little oz I did get! I was getting all ready to put them in my new little freezer bags when the unthinkable happened ... I turned around to see Peyton gulping up the last little bit! I did not know if I was going to laugh or cry, so I did a little of both. I have no idea why that grossed me out, like him being a couple years older made it not OK for him to drink that milk or something ... I am weird! I was mostly just disappointed that my liquid gold was waisted on a child that can have the "easy" milk! Silly silly Peyton.

adorable header!
and GREAT job producing 3 oz! That is impressive! Not pathetic at all! Seriously! Young babies don't drink that much. Their tummies are tiny. I don't think I could have produced that much and look at my chunky monkey. I am so proud of you Angela!
and HILARIOUS that Peyton drank it. I would have died too though:)
I would have cried! Pumping was never an easy thing for me and to have it gone... Oh no! But it really is very funny that Peyton would drink it! I am so sorry. Three oz is awesome!
Well at least you didn't spill it! I did that way too many times and I cried over it a few. I'm just so clumsy!
Anyway, saw your comment on my post about my camera and I wanted to recommend this book I just got. I'm only a couple chapters in, but there is so much great, practical, easy-to-understand advice in here about photography...

Bummer! But hey, at least Peyton didn't spit it out!
Seriously. I know that pain!
I'm so glad you're doing so well with the breastfeeding! I know the feeling, it's definitely "liquid gold". I think you're doing great with the pumping, that's more than I ever got. So funny that Peyton drank it. hehe.
HEHE. That's funny. After the 2 month mark I was able to pump about 6- 8 oz at a time with my manual. It took about that long for my milk to produce that much at once. Also, I didn't really like pumping very much. She prefered it "from the tap" so to speak - anyway. ;)
Yayyyy, so glad it's going well- and you're sticking with it! So so happy for you about that Angela. That pumped milk is PRECIOUS-silly Peyton. = ) I'm still getting about 3-4oz when I pump- so I'm right there with ya girl.
I'm so glad the breastfeeding is going better this time around! So sad to lose the milk...at least Peyton got some nutrients, though...right?!?
That is hilarious! I wonder what he thought of it!
