Every Day Blessings

The days have been dreary, my picture taking is weary, and my boys have been teary ...what is there to blog about? I have decided to blog about our dreary, weary and teary days. While watching all of the coverage on Haiti, I have become more thankful for the simple things such as a home for shelter, food for my family, and warm clothes to keep us safe and well. Today I looked around myself and saw more blessings than I would recognise on a regular day. This is a blog post about my every day blessings.

At Mopets Peyton made a Bunny face which he calls a "hop hop hat". It has been his prized possession as of late.
I am not sure if it the rain or just all of the time at home but my favorite thing to do lately is let Cohen sleep on my lap while I read a good book!

A lot of the tears around our house have been instigated by these pesky teeth that keep coming, 5 and counting!
Peyton is trying so hard, but just can't make it very far in daddies shoes. Those are big shoes to fill my dear =)
We have been having monster blanket wars,
and living room photo shoots,
and play room dance offs,

and buddy time on the couch,
and teaching baby how to play with trucks.

Though the days may seem dreary, I am enjoying them all too much. The rain is soothing, and such an answer to prayer for all of our local farmers. And call me a hermit, but I love just being home to take in all the fun. After each rain poor we go outside and I let Peyton jump in a few big puddles before he takes a warm bath. I have been able to finish 4 amazing books I have been trying to read, now only 10,000 more to go! On that note, I will let you go ... I have two playful little boys crying for mommy, one of them wants to go worm watching in the back yard again! Yuck =(

Oh, what books did you read?! I re-read the Twilight books in the past two weeks, and just started another novel along with "Bringing Up Boys." I'm loving reading right now (well, always) but with the rainy weather we've been stuck inside so much I've been reading a TON! :)

We need a play date SOON now that Swee'Pea is FINALLY feeling better!

Aw, snuggly days at home are sometimes the best days. Enjoy the quiet nap times, those days ended far too soon for me! If you have any good book recommendations, let me know. I haven't been reading books lately and I miss it. The only problem is, once I'm in a good book, I want to do nothing else but READ!
