Flying High on Grandpa Airlines

Today was Peyton's first time flying, and Grandpa Greg was the pilot! I thought he might get a little nervous, but not a bit! He was just excited and ready to "fly high"!Grandpa {my dad} just got his pilots license a couple months ago and we have been eager to fly the sky with him! He got this nifty little 4 seat plane, it was roomier than I thought it would be!Pilot Peyton ready for take off!Peyton and Grandpa had to go down this whole checklist to make sure the plane was ready and safe to fly!Check!Check!Check again! The aerial views were amazing! Look at all of this farm land that we are surrounded by here in Bakersfield! It looks like a funky quilt of sorts =)
And these are the homes near the airport, it all looks so small!I thought this picture was fun because it is the planes shadow right under us! I am in that shadow peeps! CRAZY!Peyton did so well with keeping his headphones on and using the mouth peace to talk to us!By the end of the last flight he was tuckered!

THANK YOU Grandpa! We had such a blast, and Peyton is already asking to fly Grandpa's plane again =) Other than me getting a little queasy, it was a great little adventure!

I never got around to commenting on these on facebook, but these pictures are SO CUTE. What an amazing experience! I don't know that I would have had the courage to go up in a little airplane either (heights kind of get to me), but I'm so glad you two had so much fun!

and yes, LOVE your blog layout. Banners? yes please. :)

*gulp* With all the grandkids going on the airplane, I guess it's our turn. Eeeek! I do NOT enjoy flying so I think I'll make Raymond go with the kids sometime. I know it means so much to your dad to go flying with him. The pictures of your adventure are so cute! I'm glad Peyton loved it. He might be a pilot in the making. :)
